If you’re looking for a fun way to teach some fine and gross motor skills, counting skills and turn taking skills…this fun and interactive Halloween game is perfect!
Here’s what you will need:
- a basket
- string or yarn
- spiders
- clothes pin
- Spider web game.jpg
- To set up the game, weave your string or yarn through the sides of the basket, creating a “web”. The more strings there are the easier the games are.
- There are a couple of versions on how you can play this game.

Easy: (Suggested age of 2-3 year olds)
Put the spiders on the bottom of the basket and get the child to lift the spiders out of the basket and place on top of the string. See how many they can do before one falls off! You can incorporate counting, colour recognition and turn taking.
Medium: (Suggested age of 3-4 year olds)
Put the spiders on top of the web and have the child try and take the spiders off without letting any of them fall.
Hard: (Suggested age 3+)
Put the spiders at the bottom. The goal is to get the spiders out without touching any of the string (like operation).
