This was one of my boys favourite activities! It is perfect for a warm sunny day. The boys loved helping me make it to helping me tidy it up. This was a hit and we will definitely be doing this again this summer!

Here’s what you will need:

For a small container:
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 tbsp. dish soap (Dawn works great!)
- Food colouring (as desired)
- For a large container:
- 1/2 c. water
- 4 tbsp. dish soap
- Food colouring
Mix all ingredients into a bowl. Using electric mixer, mix until bubbles have risen and the mixture is almost capping when you are mixing. My older son loved helping with this.

Pour each mixture by hand into the container that the children will be playing in. I loved showing my little man the colours we were working with and talking to him about the colours.

We wanted to make a rainbow so I did 3 colours. You could add as many colours as you would like or just have one! The boys thought this was amazing!

I told them to dig in and for about 10 minutes all they did was move the soap around and scoop it. It is such a cool sensory feeling.

Then I got a few of their trucks out. I told them to work together (working on team and taking turns) and giving their cars a car wash. They loved this! After about 15 minutes the colouring had faded and fell to the bottom. That didn’t stop my guys from playing!

They loved it! Sure will be fun to try different colours and more bubbles next time!
Happy discovering!
